← All mechanicsMarble Sort Game Mechanics — Frequently Asked Questions
What are the game mechanics in Marble Sort?
Marble Sort uses mechanics like tunnels, mystery boxes, multiplier gates, connected boxes, hidden boxes, keys and locks, crates and panels. Each one changes how marbles fall or how many you need to clear a bottom box.
How does the Tunnel mechanic work in Marble Sort?
A Tunnel holds a set number of marbles and releases them only when you feed it enough balls of the matching colors. Tunnels act as a buffer, so you often need to feed them evenly to avoid filling the belt.
What is a Mystery Box in Marble Sort?
A Mystery Box hides what color is inside until you clear the boxes in front of it. When it is revealed, the hidden color is often exactly what you need — or a trap that fills your belt if you release it too early.
How do Multiplier Gates work in Marble Sort?
Multiplier Gates double the marbles that pass through them, so one tap can send two or more balls down to the same color box. This helps clear a box faster but also means an accidental wrong color gets doubled.
What are Connected Boxes in Marble Sort?
Connected Boxes are two or more bottom boxes that clear together — when you fill one, the linked ones empty too. You have to feed them with the right colors in the right order to trigger the chain clear.
How do Keys and Locks work in Marble Sort?
Keys unlock blocked boxes or panels. You first find and release the key marble, then use it to unlock the lock that is hiding part of the tray. Planning the key order is the key to clearing the level.
